For a better understanding of the propagation of sound waves in a steady state sound field (Standing Waves Pattern) the presentation can be switched to a Temporal Coarse at the respective frequency.

Note: The picture at the left side presents only the Direct Sound Field (anechoic, no reflections at the room walls) created by the two Main Loudspeakers of a Surround Configuration. You may clearly identify the interference pattern that arises from the superposition waves from the two sound sources.
