CARACAD - Speaker & Listener View

At the final steps of room design you define the listening place and select the loudspeakers from the Loudspeakers Data Base and place them on their actual positions.

If you first place the listener the main loudspeakers will be aligned to the listening place automatically.

Define the (rectangular) Positioning Regions around the loudspeakers and the listener. A 'Positioning Region' may be extended by an additional rectangular region. By this you may define special shaped 'Positioning Regions' (e.g. L-shaped or two separate rectangular regions).
The loudspeakers and the listener are moved within these 'Positioning Regions' during the automatic Positional Optimization procedure in order to improve room acoustic induced Sound Colorations.

Clicking on a loudspeaker or listener with the right mouse button enables you to adjust the distance to the floor and the vertical dimension of the 'Positioning Region'.

Having finalized your room design you may directly start the room acoustics calculation module CARACALC from the toolbar in CARACAD.
