Training CD-ROM for CARA 2.1 / 2.2 PLUS

The CARA Training CD-ROM contains video tutorials that are guiding you step by step through the functions and procedures of CARA. In addition you will learn about some basics of room acoustics.

The training course is split up into several short chapters. In the basic and introductory chapters each step of the user interface procedures is described in great detail, whereas the advanced CARA functions are described assuming that you are familiar with the basic CARA functions.

The CARA training course is structured into three main sections:

• The Room Design section teaches you how to design your sound room (including furniture, rugs, windows, ...) using the CAD program module CARACAD.
• In Calculations the automatic 'Positional Optimization' procedure and the results are described and some listening tests are performed using the 'Auralization' function of CARACALC.
• The Advanced section shows how to design customized items of furniture or how to customize your loudspeakers with the 'CARA Loudspeaker Editor'. Also 'Sound Field Calculations' are performed and the results are discussed.

The CARA Training CD-ROM also contains special video and sound codecs which should be installed, if required.
