The HiFish Audio Controller "AC"

The Audio Controller "AC" is both, a multi functional sound pressure level metering instrument for the most important acoustic measurements of loudspeakers and room acoustics as well as a remote control with extensive programming capabilities.
Although it enables professional measurements, it can easily be operated by any layman too.
The AC can be connected to any PC by an integrated RS-232 link.

Functional Survey

The AC enables extensive acoustic evaluations of your sound room, sound studios, musicians rehearsing rooms, or of any free field applications.

The following list comprises the basic measurement functions:

• Sound pressure level and noise measurements (Data Logger up to 15h recording time)
• Reverberation time measurements (RT-60)

For the following measurements the HiFish Test CD ACD is required:

• sound pressure frequency response of loudspeakers
• frequency dependence of reverberation times of your sound room
• analysis of loudspeaker errors (self test)
• optimization of loudspeaker positions in your sound room
• optimization of room acoustics by changing the acoustic environment (carpet, curtains, plants, ...)

With the AC you may test and improve diverse adjustments of your stereo and surround equipment.
The remote control function of the AC enables you to control the most common CD players. Using the serial PC interface you may load "exotic" codes of various devices.
Furthermore the AC controls the brand new preamplifier module "ACC", for example to select one of six various input channels, to adjust volume and balance. An auto balance function is implemented in the ACC providing for automatic level and delay time adjustment.

On the programming level the AC in connection with the programmable crossover network "SCM" as the executing unit enables you to control the passive crossover network of your loudspeakers to overcome e.g. room acoustic induced deficiencies on sound reproduction.
Additionally you can recall various settings of the programmable passive loudspeakers. Sound characteristics of loudspeakers may automatically be adapted and optimized to any room conditions. User programming functions for professionals are just as contained as numerous automatic optimization functions for less experienced listeners.
